The Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich stands for luxury and excellent service. The tradition-rich hotel on Maximilianstrasse has recently installed a Westiform digital signage guidance system which shows conference guests the way to the function room.
Kempinski's choice of a digital signage solution shows that digital communication systems are also extremely suitable for classical and traditional ambiences. A total of 19 displays help visitors to find their way. Four large 55-inch displays are located in the lobby and near the elevators. Smaller displays are installed in the function rooms where they serve as digital door signs.
Kempinski took care to ensure quality and elaborate workmanship. The display housings are made of stainless steel, and a safety glass protects them from dirt and damage. The smaller displays in the two function rooms are installed flush with the wall. Some of the frames are expensively designed with leather or wood. With its small displays, Westiform implements a solution which integrates the play-back unit and the display in a single device. This is not only elegant but also saves space.
One of the great advantages of the Westiform solution is that it is easy to use. The hotel can effortlessly define and activate the content on its own. The user interface can be operated intuitively and is web-based, which means that the content can be adapted from anywhere and at all times. Westiform guarantees software support and monitors the system. A device malfunction is automatically reported before initiating replacement or repair as required.
